Africa Crocodiles Alligators 1746 fascinating antique engraved print original

Espece de Crocodile, nomme Alligator Celui ci est un Jeune qui fut tire vivant a Londres au mois d' October 1739

(Crocodile then living in London in 1739)

Original antique engraved print.

Issued 1746, Paris by anon. (but likely for Prevost)

An actual antique/ vintage printed sheet of paper, not a modern copy or reprint of an old print. The sheet could show signs of age difficult to capture digitally, but if we are offering it for sale you can be 100% certain it is entirely worthy of ownership by even the most discerning collector or dealer.

Sheet remains well preserved, keeping in mind it is not modern or new, so minor flaws to paper are sometimes to be expected. Some light age wear or surface spotting/ soiling, all of which is hopefully visible within the image(s).

Paper and image remains overall clean & sound. Old maps & prints often display small minor repairs on the back, could have uneven blank margins, might have extraneous fold-lines or other small minor age flaws which do not detract from the visual appeal or value. Condition is carefully considered in arriving at our price.

Attractive and appealing old vintage antique print entirely worthy of hanging for display.

A style and manner of depiction entirely unique to this era.

original fold-lines as issued.

Sheet measures c. 10 " H x 13 3/4 " W.

Printed area measures c. 8" H x 11 1/4 " W

A picture is worth a thousand words. The scan is a major part of the item description. Please examine it closely, as what you see is what we will send you.
